The Email Editor's Address Header allows for selecting the  Email Account which should be used for sending the message, specifying recipients and the subject of the message. The following describes in detail how elements from the Address Header should can be used.

On this page:

Selecting an account from the Account List

Make sure you understand the Account List's purpose by reading Email Editor Tab Overview - The Account List.
Selecting a different account from the Account List
  1. Click the Account List's field.

  2. The Account List will roll out and show all of the configured Email Accounts for the current user of conjoon. Select any of the listed accounts by either clicking on it or by navigating using the arrow-keys of your keyboard, then pressing the 'return/enter'-key.

  3. Once the account was selected, the 'From-address' as configured for the selected account will show in the Account List field.

Managing the Recipients List

Make sure you understand the Recipients List's purpose by reading Email Editor Tab Overview - The Recipients List.
Adding Recipients to a Message
  1. Click the field that's marked with an address book like icon .

  2. The field will change into a text field which allows for keyboard input. Type in the recipient's email address.

  3. Once the address is typed in, click the mouse button on any other region of the Email Editor so the recent input field looses the focus, or press the 'return/enter'-key. The input field will then disappear and show the email address in the recipient list.

Note how a new row for adding an additional recipient gets added to the Recipient List once you have finished typing in the email address.

  4. To change the type of recipient, click the field that says 'To:'

  5. The field will change to a Combo Box.

  6. Either click the Combo Box or press the 'down arrow'-key on your keyboard to bring up the list of possible options for the recipient type.

  7. Select the entry labeled 'CC:'. The drop-down list will disappear and the value 'CC:' is now selected.

  8. Press the 'return/enter'-key on your keyboard or click anywhere else in the Email Editor so the combo box gets removed. The field is now labeled as 'CC:' which indicates that the recipient who gets specified in the address field will receive the message as 'carbon copy' (CC).

  9. Repeat steps 1-8 for any additional recipients. You can always edit the values (recipient type, recipient address) by clicking them with the mouse.

To remove a recipient, simply delete the corresponding address by bringing up the input field and delete the value found therein, then press the 'return/enter'-key or click the mouse button outside of the field to unfocus it.

Unlike the recipient field in the Quickpanel's Email Tab, the Recipients List is much more forgiving when it comes to validating email addresses. However, it expects only one address per line and will invalidate any address which is separated by using a semicolon ;. (info) The backend will take care of validating the specified recipient-addresses before the message gets send.

When typing into the address field, a query layer pops up right under the field, showing a loading icon and the label 'Loading...' This is for looking up already saved email addresses from the contacts, allowing to select a matching email address from a list of options, rather than having to type in the address manually over and over again. However, in the current version of conjoon, contact management is not included in the UI. You can however add contacts by hand if you have access to the database backend.
