Email Messages in conjoon are organized in folders. The Folder Panel is responsible for displaying folders and providing tools for managing them.

The Folder Panel's Context Menu
For adding, deleting and renaming Email Folders, the Folder Panel provides a Context Menu that allows for invoking different actions on the selected folders.You can bring up the Context Menu by right-clicking any of the folders available in the Folder Panel.

The New folder Menu Item
The 'New folder' menu item invokes the action to add a new child folder to the currently selected Email Folder. For more information on adding Email Folders, read Adding an Email Folder.
The Rename folder Menu Item
The 'Rename folder' menu item invokes the action to rename the currently selected Email Folder. For more information on renaming Email Folders, read Renaming an Email Folder.
The Delete... Menu Item
The 'Delete...' menu item invokes the action to delete the currently selected Email Folder. For more information on deleting Email Folders, read Deleting an Email Folder.
Based on the folder type of the right-clicked Email Folder, some menu items from the Context Menu might not be available. In this case, they appear greyed out.

The Folder Panel's Toolbar
The Folder Panel's Toolbar provides elements for controlling email folder.

The Expand Button
To expand a folder using the Expand button
, select the folder you wish to expand and click the Expand button. conjoon will then try to expand the currently selected folder and respectively every last subfolder of one folder.
The Collapse All Button
To collapse all folders, click the Collapse All button
from the toolbar.
Expanding and Collapsing folders
Folders which have subfolders can be expanded to view its subfolders. Those folders have an arrow icon next to them
which can be clicked to expand the folder they are part of. If expanded, the icon changes to an arrow that points to the bottom
. Alternatively, you can also double-click the folder you wish to expand. If the folder is selected, you can also use the arrow-keys on your keyboard to expand (right-arrow-key) or collapse (left-arrow-key) the folder.

To collapse an expanded folder, click the arrow icon pointing to the bottom
next to the folder it's part of. Alternatively, double-clicking an expanding folder will collapse it again.
Expanding and Collapsing Folders using the Toolbar

Viewing the Contents of an Email Folder
To view the contents of an Email Folder, click the corresponding folder from the Folder Panel. The Email Tab's Main Panel will then show the Email Grid and the Email Preview.

You can also use the arrow-keys on your keybord to navigate through the folders. The up-/down-arrow-key will select the next folder either above or below the currently selected folder. The left-/right-arrow-key will either expand or collapse the selected folder, depending on it's current state and if it has child-folders. |
The Email Grid shows the contents of the currently selected folder. It will be refreshed everytime you select a different folder, except if you click the Local Folders entry, which will show the Introduction Panel and hide the Email Grid and Email Preview.

The Item Count of a Folder
The Item Count gets updated everytime when
- unread messages are moved between folders (this includes deleting messages)
The Item Count of a Trash Folder, an Inbox Folder or a Sent Folder will always update itself if there where any unread messages moved to it. The same applies for messages that got removed from it. |
Resizing the Folder Panel
