On this page:
Deleting Email Messages
Email Messages can either be deleted by selecting them manually or by moving a complete Email Folder into the trash.
Deleting Email Messages from the Email Grid
To delete one or more Email Messages from a folder,
- select the folder in the Folder Panel to show it's contents in the Email Grid,
- select one or more rows from the Email Grid, then
- bring up the Email Grid's Context Menu and select the Delete Menu Item, which will automatically move the selected items into the Trash Folder
or - press the Delete Button from the Email Tab's Toolbar, which will automatically move the selected items into the Trash Folder
or - move the selected messages manually into the Trash Folder
- bring up the Email Grid's Context Menu and select the Delete Menu Item, which will automatically move the selected items into the Trash Folder
- select one or more rows from the Email Grid, then
Once the messages are moved to the Trash Folder, you can open it to inspect it's contents, and either permanently delete or recycle messages found therein.
Before messages get permanently deleted, they are moved into the Trash Folder. If you want to have more control over the process of deleting messages, simply create a new child folder for the Trash Folder and move the messages you wish to delete manually into it. This will help you in organizing deleted messages in case you wish to recycle some of them at a later time. |
Permanently deleting Email Messages
Follow the steps as described in Deleting Email Messages from the Email Grid. Once you have selected the Trash Folder to inspect it's contents, select the messages you wish to delete permanently and then press the Delete Button from the Toolbar or the Delete Menu Item from the grid's Context Menu. Without further notice, the selected messages will then be removed permanently.

Screenshot above: Once the Delete Menu Item or the Delete Button from the Toolbar is pressed, the selected messages will be permanently removed. This is because the 'Delete'-process is invoked from a trash folder (see the selected folder in the Folder Panel, which is the Trash Folder). If the user were to delete this messages from another folder, they would be moved to the trash first.
| If an error occurs whily trying to delete messages, the selected items will be restored to their original folder. |
Deleting a complete Message Folder
Deleting complete folders is explained in detail in the chapter Deleting an Email Folder.
Undeleting Email Messages
Undeleting messages is simply done by moving messages from the trash into any other folder.
Select the Trash Folder (or any of it's child folders where the messages you wish to undelete can be found in) in the Folder Panel to show it's contents in the Email Grid, then
- select one or more rowsfrom the Email Grid, and
- move the selected messages manually into any other folder
